The
purpose of the West Coast Dowsers is to share and exchange ideas,
teach dowsing and motivate others to explore, research, and expand
their knowledge of the Earth, life and consciousness. What we
have in common is dowsing, the search for knowledge and the expansion
of awareness.
Dowsing is an ancient art practiced throughout the world. A dowser
communicates with the Universe through the use of mind, body and
tools. Tools such as pendulums and L-rods are used to receive
answers to questions from beyond one’s three-dimensional senses.
Dowsing is the active experiencing of intuition. Dowsing is intuition
in motion.
A fellowship of dowsers exists throughout the United States and
other countries. The American Society of Dowsers was founded in
Vermont in 1961, and chapters were started throughout the United
States to establish a community of dowsers for the purpose of
sharing knowledge and experience. In 1979, dowsers in the Western
part of the United States expanded that fellowship by creating the
West Coast Dowsers’ Conference. Thirty-one years later, the
West Coast Dowsers’ Conference continues to teach, to explore,
and to create ways for dowsers and others seeking knowledge to
be together.
A dowser’s practice ultimately requires one to connect to the
subconscious; this fosters a deep quest for knowledge and the
insight to understand the answers to questions asked. Interconnectedness
and kinship with the planet and all living beings emerges. Many
dowsers have developed a great reverence for the Earth and human
consciousness, and they work in ways that reflect that understanding.
Dowsers have been known to move water veins, clean polluted water,
neutralize toxic energy and remove obstacles to healing, all with
the power of thought and focused intent. Dowsers seek to find
answers and solutions that will create balance and harmony in
the world.
Anyone can learn to dowse with a little practice.
The
West Coast Dowsers’ Conference is a place where dowsers and kindred
seekers can be together to learn, share and discover. At every
Conference new and returning friends come to be with their Dowsing
family.
As
one new attendee at the Conference said, “I came here not knowing
anyone, and within 10 minutes, I felt as if I knew everyone. I
had found my spiritual family.”
